“My art reflects my current state of mind. It’s based by observation. Anything can trigger an idea for a painting. It can be the news I hear on the radio, article in the newsprint or a morning sunlight. I try to remember that moment and translate it on canvas. That is why I have paintings with bright colors and also paintings that are all black.”
